NYC Antique Engagement Rings is headed by Robert M. Bunda who started in the antiques business in Australia with his family in 1972.

In 1987, Robert relocated to Manhattan where he first worked for Doyle New York which is an important NYC Auction House with vast international exposure.

In 1989 Robert took up a position with Christie’s where he provided diamond, antique & estate jewelry appraisals, estimates & condition reports for the consignment and selling of magnificent jewelry.

In 1993, he established his own estate jewelry business at his present location within Rockefeller Center which is adjacent to SAKS, The Today Show and Christie's. 

Robert is a certified jewelry appraiser with the Appraisers Association of America. He was a Board Member from 2007 - 2011. Robert is also the author of the Gems & Jewelry Section of the Association's 2013 Appraisal Handbook; Appraising Art: The Definitive Guide, which is the prescribed text for the Appraisal Studies course offered by New York University.
